Where Are You in Your Human Journey?
What is asking for support?
We move through many thresholds in a lifetime.
Sometimes we are preparing to welcome new life. Sometimes a baby needs support finding comfort and ease in their body. A child may be struggling with learning, movement, emotions, or belonging. A relationship may be asking us to look more deeply at the patterns between us. Or we may simply know that something within our own life is ready to change.

Wherever you find yourself, we begin with what is happening now.

What is
The Art of
Being Human?
The Art of Being Human is the living expression of the Awakened Method. From our earliest beginnings in the womb to where we stand today, we are shaped by our experiences, relationships, and environments. Our bodies remember, our nervous systems adapt, our beliefs take form, and our stories become part of how we move through the world.
When these stories are given a place to be felt, witnessed, and heard, something can begin to move. What has been held within the body no longer has to remain hidden or silently shape the way we live. Through somatic awareness, sensation, movement, breath, relationship, and the language of the nervous system, we can become curious about what our bodies have carried and create space for something new to emerge.
The philosophy of the Awakened Method is one of integration to the heart. As we begin to reconcile the seeming oppositions within ourselves- light and shadow, masculine and feminine, mind and body, self and other- we naturally move toward greater wholeness. From this place of integration, our relationship with one another, the Earth, and community begins to transform. We find ourselves returning to more land-connected, relationship-centered ways of living, not as an ideology, but as a natural expression of a heart that remembers its place within the living world.
The Continuum of Becoming.
From conception through elderhood, being human is a somatic journey—our experiences, relationships, and environments are lived through and held within the body. Through Somatic Integration and the three interconnected pillars of the Inner World, Environment, and Inquiry of Knowledge, the Awakened Method invites us to listen to the body's stories, understand what has shaped us, and create new possibilities for how we relate, live, and continue becoming.
